...where · is · my · mind?!

I was lazy this fashion week and did not bother to see as many shows as I got invited to, only went to see ex-project runaway runner up Lucian Matis. The show was the last show of the season.

First of I have to ask?! WTF is with FDCC's president Robin Kay?! That women can not talk, her speeches are always so incoherent and all over the place...last night was no exception.  I mean, I agree she does a good job at organizing and promoting the event, but could she learn how to speak as well, ist kinda embarrasing to hear her mumble all the time.

Another WTF is how much press and recognition JOE Fresh Style gets? I mean they sell in Loblaws! Made in China with styles worse than GAP! How can they be recognized as a "revolutionary or inovative" Canadian design??!!!
Talk about design! I guess it helps, that the creative director/owner is Joe Mimram, who is a chairman of the FDCC! 

My conclusion of course, its all about money! No matter about your design skills, if you have money you can just buy all the publicity you desire! Yes Childres, that simple!

And finally to our last nights star...Lucian Matis...well what can I say...nothing new, its all been done and over done! How many more antlers do we have to see on runways??!
The clothing had very simple cuts with nice prints, but nothing exciting. It all seemed to cater to the "older lady" crowd. (the oohs and aahs from my neighbouring ladies in their 50's just re-asured that feeling) 
I mean all over stylish, but boring.

Lucian partnered up for this show with a jewelry designer Dandy Maestre...and I have to say, I was pretty much disgusted the whole 20 minutes of the show...the amount of horns, hoofs and antlers used in the colletion made me wonder about the animals fate...
